  • What does the mandatory Studio Induction entail, does this include orientation on how to utilise the sewing machine on site?

    The induction includes an Occupational Health and Safety information session and an introduction to the available industrial equipment within the space.

  • Is there a fridge, microwave and kettle available for use on site?

    Yes, you will have access to a communal fridge, kettle and microwave available for your use during your time of hire.

    There is complimentary tea, coffee and sugar, along with some crockery and cutlery in the allocated kitchenette break area.

  • What comes in the 'Yellow Dot' Hire Package?

    Within the standard Designer and Maker Space hire, we offer access to the following industrial machines; a plain straight stitch machine, overlocker/ baby locker and industrial iron/boiler.

  • What is available within your Red Dot machine Hire range?

    Unfortunately, any machines marked with a red dot are not available for hire. They require specialised operation from a technician. This is for your own safety.

  • Can I host a workshop within the space?

    Currently workshops which require operation of machinery are currently not permitted within the space. This is due to occupational health and safety reasons and each individual will need to undertake our Studio Induction to work on the machinery.

    For any guests or group bookings in the space, that do not require operation of equipment, please contact us directly with your enquiry.
